Vaginal Pathogen Panel:
- Between 6 and 10 million health care visits in the United States by women are related to symptoms of vaginitis. Traditional methods of vaginitis diagnosis have been inaccurate. Here at Mega Lab-Health Care we perform nucleic acid amplification testing, which is the most up-to-date technology for the diagnosis of vaginal pathogens. Studies have shown that using a vaginal panel assay demonstrated higher sensitivity for detection compared to the traditional methods of detection, while maintaining a comparable specificity. [1]
