Mega Lab-Health Care is certified with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) as a High Complexity Medical Laboratory. MLHC participates in College of American Pathologists (CAP) Proficiency Testing (PT) Programs · ISO 17043 Accreditation for Proficiency Testing. MLHC is committed to providing the highest standard of testing, using state-of-the-art analytical instruments. Quality control and calibration of all instruments are performed daily to maintain the required testing standards.
Our CLIA certified high complexity medical laboratory has the capability of providing the following tests/test panels from different sample types e.g.: whole blood, serum, urine, stool, and swabs.
Chemistry Tests include but are not limited to Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP), Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP), Lipid Panel, Electrolyte panel, Renal Function Panel, Hep (liver) Liver Function, and other stand-alone tests.
Hematology Tests include but are not limited to Complete Blood Count (CBC), Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), Platelet (PLT) Count, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit and other stand-alone tests.
Infectious Diseases Testing is performed by using molecular – PCR methodology (Gold Standard). These tests include but are not limited to Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP), Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel (GI), Urinary Tract Infection Panel (UTI), Women’s Health Panel (Vaginal Pathogen), Sexually transmitted Infection Diseases Panel (STI), and other infectious diseases testing.
We have the capability of electronically submitting all reportable tests to DC, MD, and VA Departments of Health. We accept D.C., MD, and VA Medicaid, Medicare, and other commercial insurances.
MLHC is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of patient information as required by Health Insurance portability and accountability act of 1966 (HIPPA). We provide detailed reporting of patient samples analysis to help primary care, family medicine physicians, and specialists to accurately diagnosis their patients. MLHC partners with medical professionals to provide quality medical services with a quick turnaround time. Direct live voice communication with our experienced front desk laboratory personnel without line transfers or with little or no hold times always available. MLHC provides direct specimen pickup/ courier services in DMV area, Fed-ex pickups with next-day air delivery for clinical specimens across the nation.
